ABOUT WBAD
WBAD-FM signed on the air at 3,000 watts on December 24, 1973 giving the
Delta a variety of music. WBAD has always been the #1 station in the Ark-La-Miss and it still is to this day. In 1980,
WBAD-FM increased their wattage to 50,000 making it, by far the most powerful urban station in the Delta serving Southeast
Arkansas, Northeast Louisiana and Northwest Mississippi. This legendary station is under the ownership of Interchange Communications
(William D. Jackson and Stanley S. Sherman, owners)
